Kindle vs book - no contest!

Books aren't dead, but they are limping

by Carol Muskoron

Let me give you four reasons why I love my Kindle. Be warned book lovers, they are strong reasons!
1) Convenience
I got on the tube this morning without a book - when we went overground between stations I requested a sample of a du Maurier novel. It downloaded before we went back into the tunnels - in a matter of ten seconds. Bliss

2) Value for money
I read the sample, loved it, got out of the tube and bought the book at half price.

3) Storage
When I was younger books I'd read and loved w
ere trophies, now they just clutter my house. That said, I love the fact that once I have read the said du Maurier novel I won't have to keep the thing or take it to the charity shop. More bliss.

4) The dictionary!
My thirteen-year-old son, who is not a big reader, is, to my delight, pinching my Kindle constantly. Best of all, if he puts the cursor next to a word he doesn't know, it gives him a dictionary definition. I am loving the dictionary too - so useful!

What do you think of Ereaders? Have you tried one yet? I predict that they will be huge this Christmas (there we go, that was the first time I have written the word 'Christmas' this year!)
