Yes, the new John Lewis Christmas advert is here and it is two minutes and ten seconds of the most gorgeously animated film. How do they do it every year? Just when you think their plots can't get any cuter, they do.

And although the John Lewis Christmas adverts do veer towards being ridiculously sentimental, they somehow avoid it. The plots that are just intriguing enough to force you to want to know more and to make you want to watch the ad again and again. You might reach for your hanky, but the tears don't fall. Genius!
