Bunting's not just for summer - it's ideal for advent too
Draw a triangle the size you would like your bunting flags to be onto a piece of paper. (The triangle should have two sides of equal length and one short side.)
Cut this out and trace the outline onto a piece of card. Flip the triangle along one long edge and trace around it, then flip it along the other long edge and trace again so you have three wedge shapes fanning out beside each other. Now draw a triangle ‘hat’ on the short side of the middle triangle (this will be the flap that closes each pocket). This is your template for all your flags.
Trace around the template onto your chosen wrapping papers (offcuts work perfectly or try falkiners.com), cut out and fold along the long edges of the middle triangle so it resembles a flattened cone. Repeat 23 times to create enough flags.
Use double-sided sticky tape to fix the long sides into place.
Stamp or write the numbers 1-24 onto stickers (try minilabels.co.uk).
Fill each pocket with treats, fold down the flap and stick into place with a sticker. Attach the flags to a ribbon with pegs or paper clips.
