Revamp a lamp with paint and buttons
Effect a transformation in no time, with a distressed paint finish and toning buttons

You will need
● Wood lampbase
● Blue emulsion paint in two shades: darker and lighter
● Sandpaper
● Matt acrylic varnish (optional)
● Hot glue gun
● Buttons
● Plain lampshade
To make
Paint the lampbase with the darker blue paint and leave to dry.
Paint on the lighter blue and allow to dry.
Lightly sand the paint to reveal the darker shade of paint below. Continue to sand until you have achieved an attractive distressed effect. Finish with a coat of matt acrylic varnish if required.
Use a hot glue gun to stick a row of buttons around the base of the lampshade to finish.
