Customise slippers with velvet bows
Add a luxurious, beautiful bow to a pair of plain slippers

You will need
● 20cm of 110cm-wide soft velvet
● Matching thread
● Ballerina slippers
To make
1. Cut a 20cm square of velvet for bow and a 9cm square for each knot. Fold in two edges of each bow to meet at centre.
2. Fold ends in to meet in centre. Insert a row of large gathering stitches by hand on each side of centre, as shown in the template below, stitching through all layers. Draw up gathers tightly and secure ends.
3. Fold in two edges of knot to meet at centre. Insert a row of gathering stitches by hand in each end of knot. Draw up gathers tightly and secure ends.
4. Wrap knot around bow and stitch ends together at back of bow. Stitch by hand to slippers.
