Sew a cook's apron: free sewing pattern
Treat the chef to a stylish apron made from a vintage grain sack.

Following measurements on diagram, cut out apron from one side of the sack. Neaten outer edges. Cut a 60cm length of twill tape for the neck loop and two 80cm lengths for the waist ties. Press under 1cm around outer edge of the apron. Pin and insert the waist ties and neck loop. Stitch hems, sewing in the neck loop and waist ties as you go. Work second row of stitching across ties. Finish ends of waist ties by folding under 1cm twice and stitching. Press.
