Make a Christmas stocking from old jeans
Come over all eco-warrior this Christmas by upcyling a pair of old jeans to make this adorable stocking

Use the waistband of a pair of jeans as a cuff and decorate the fabric to add interest.
1 Cut open the legs of a pair of old jeans along the seams.
2 Using a marker pen, draw the shape of your stocking on the reverse side of the denim.
3 Put the right sides together and sew up the sides of the stocking with red and white embroidery thread, leaving the top open.
4 Turn the stocking right side out and check that you like the shape it neednt be perfect.
5 Measure the opening of the stocking and cut a section of contrasting fabric to size, leaving enough to hem the edges at the top. Sew onto the denim body to create the cuff, then press.
6 Embroider a name or text onto the cuff.
7 Using some ribbon or twine, make a loop and attach it to the top edge of the cuff to hang it up, then add bells to decorate.
