How to make
Click the 'print' button at the top of the page to print out this project, complete with templates. Click here to see the templates, on page 2. Cut out the template and pin on to one 10x10xcm piece of felt.
Use an air-erasable pen or dressmakers pencil to draw around the star and cut out.
Repeat and cut out as many stars as you would like to have on your garland.
Take one felt star and place the carbon paper, coloured/carbon face down. Then, on top of this, place the star template.
Draw over the design in the middle of the star template with a pencil to transfer the embroidery pattern onto the felt.
Use red embroidery thread to stitch over the design on the felt using the guide on the template.
Place the finished stars 40cm apart along the cord, sewing in place.
Make two loops in between each star and secure with a couple of stitches.
