Make a teddy hot-water bottle cover: free sewing pattern
Protect a childs hot-water bottle with a soft, cuddly cover

You will need
• 30cm of 140cm-wide fleece fabric
• Matching thread
• Black embroidery thread
• 60cm narrow ribbon
To make
1. Enlarge template to 39cm tall. Use template as a guide to cut out one front, one upper back and one lower back. Use three strands of embroidery thread to stitch the nose and make French knots for eyes where marked on cover front.
2. Neaten raw straight edges of back pieces, then press 2cm hem onto wrong side and stitch. Overlap backs and pin to front with right sides together. Stitch around outer edge, taking 1cm seam allowance.
3. Trim seam allowances to 6mm and neaten together. Snip to seamline at points of stitching. Turn right side out and press.
4. Tie ribbon around the bear’s neck and stitch securely in place.
