Make a cube footstool: free sewing pattern
Cover a foam cube in stylish fabric to use as a footstool or casual seating. By Emma Morton-Turner

Footstools are fun to make.
Measure a foam cube (visit www.yell.com to find a supplier).
Cut out six pieces of fabric 4cm bigger than each side to allow for the seams.
Sew them to make a cube shape, leaving three sides open. Pop the foam inside and close using strong stitching.
To make the sides softer, add wadding around the outside of the foam before sewing.
