Add a picot edge to a plain pillowcase
Add an upmarket edging

You will need:
● two plain pillowcases
● white thread
● scissors
● tape measure
● 25cm wide strip of picot-edged fabric for edging (we used a picot-edged square cotton scarf)
Just cut two strips of your picot-edged fabric as wide as you want the border to be.
Before you start, unpick the side seams of the pillowcase to the same width as your border. Press under 1cm across the width of your strip and stitch to the edge of your pillowcase. Make sure the pretty edging slightly hangs over the edge of the pillowcase and stitch as close to it as possible. Repeat at the other edge.
Turn pillowcase inside out and stitch side seams together.
