Sew a 'home' appliqué cushion: free sewing pattern
Use oddments of fabrics to appliqué letters

Cut two rectangles 33cm x 48cm for the back and one square 48cm x 48cm for the front. Enlarge templates to desired size and trace onto Bondaweb. Iron onto reverse of chosen fabrics and cut out.
Remove Bondaweb backing and position in centre of 48cm x 48cm square of cushion fabric. Iron in place and zigzag stitch around edges. Press under and stitch a 1.5cm hem across one long edge of each back. With right sides together, lay backs on top of cushion front so hemmed edges overlap.
Pin and stitch around outer edge, taking a 1.5cm seam allowance. Trim seam allowances to 5mm and zigzag stitch to finish the seams. Turn right side out and press. Insert a 45cm x 45cm cushion pad.
