Things that made me go 'mmm'
Last night while packing for this afternoon's trip to Paris, I picked up my passport, then looked for my Ehic (European Health Insurance Card). I lost it last year and had to replace it, and annoyingly, its expiry date remained the same. And that expiry date was... on Monday. Oops. Luckily, you can renew your Ehic online - make sure you use the official government website so it's free - so that's what I've just done. And I have a phone number just in case I need to prove to anyone in France that I have a valid Ehic. Just not on me.

When I had stomachache as a child, my dad used to make me drink camomile tea. And I loathed it. This week I tried it afresh, from the new PG Tips range, for its stress-relieving properties. And I discovered that my adult taste-buds like it. The tetrahedron-shaped bags subside well in the cup and the flavour is really full and fresh.

We know our friends have skills and talents, but sometimes you become impressed by that all over again. I've known Catherine for over 20 years, since we worked together, and I've just read this, Catherine's third book, and really enjoyed it. It's a family saga spanning the war years, with a precious book of pressed flowers at the story's heart. But the element I delighted in most was Catherine's amazingly evocative descriptions of the natural world, whether it's the Cornish coast or the rose garden in Regent's Park. And whether you know the scene she describes or not, it's alive on the page...

Yesterday I popped into Triumph's pop-up Covent Garden shop It just goes to show it's worth getting measured and fitted regularly. It's been a couple of years since I was last fitted - and things appear to have changed. Under the guidance of Anna, I was fitted with the gorgeous bra above (mine is a vibrant fuchsia shade). Called Amourette, it's one of Triumph's bestsellers, costs £34 and comes in sizes 32-42, B-F, with matching knickers also available. And mine is four inches and two cup sizes different from the bra I was wearing! But even if that difference is just in that bra style, I came away happy with a well-fitting bra, but if I'd tried on my usual size it wouldn't have fitted... With their 'Stand up for Fit' campaign, Triumph are on a mission to improve the statistic that three-quarters of us are wearing the wrong bra size and aim to fit 100,000 women worldwide with a well-fitting bra. I'm all for that - i makes such a difference to how you feel, howe your clothes look, and even your posture.

I love a Bellini (sparkling wine with peach purée) and even if you can't always drink it in its home Harry's Bar, Venice (I have done: expensive but very atmospheric) it was exceptionally easy this week as we had a pile of peach purée pouches in the office from Funkin, who make a range of cocktail mixers - just add the appropriate alcohol. Over the Bank Holioday weekend I added mine to some rosé cava for a rosy peach tint, sat back in the sunshine and sipped...
