Plucking hairs encourages growth - true or false?

It's a myth. If you pluck a hair, then that one hair will grow back. If it really is only the odd strand or two, you won't do any harm. However, if you have quite a few, plucking them will leave you with less hair. After several years of plucking, those strands will eventually give up and stop growing back completely.
