  • 550 gram(s) (1 1/4lb) blackberries
  • 2  oranges, one segmented; one for zest and juice only
  • 100 gram(s) (3 1/2oz) butter
  • 65 gram(s) (2 1/2oz) caster sugar
  • 100 gram(s) (3 1/2oz) plain flour

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220ºC/ 200ºC fan/Gas 7. Mix the berries, orange, zest and juice in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, rub together remaining ingredients using your fingertips, until they resemble fine breadcrumbs.
  3. Put the fruit mixture in 4 small or 1 large gratin dish and top with the crumble mixture. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden. Serve warm, on its own or with ice cream or custard.
